Heat and humidity create the ideal environment for black mould and wood-eating fungi. Within 2-3 years, boards stain beyond recovery.

GT MAT is the aluminium decking specialist for the French West Indies and the wider Caribbean. Based in Saint-François (Guadeloupe) and Les Trois-Îlets (Martinique), we design and install high-end aluminium decks across Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten.
Our pool decks are engineered for chlorinated water, salt spray and permanent tropical humidity. The aluminium we use carries the GT MAT four-layer protection: Qualicoat-certified powder coating, stainless steel fixings, anti-corrosion treatment of the structure and bituminous paint protection.
Specialists in Caribbean outdoor living, we work on private villas, luxury residences, hotels and guest houses. Every tropical villa terrace is designed to measure for the architecture and the exposure of the site.
